Indivisible Sonoma County is a group of volunteer members committed to political action. We are united against the MAGA Republican agenda and its destruction of the values, freedoms and institutions that are the foundation of our democracy.

In 2024, we were successful in turning 4 of the 6 targeted Congressional House seats BLUE. But that’s not enough.

Indivisible SoCo will focus on building the resistance to the new Administration while increasing the number of effective progressive voices in local, state, and national offices.

Change We’re working at the local level for policies that benefit all members of our community. We believe health care is a right, not a privilege. We believe in a living wage and free public education. We believe that our children should breathe clean air and drink clean water and be safe from gun violence. Principles We support principles fundamental to our democracy… a free press, an independent judiciary, and fair elections. We put people above profits. We believe in a common good, and an open and transparent government. Civic Engagement We believe in listening to people who disagree with us. We will show up, speak, vote, and run to protect our values and our democracy. And, we will not be deterred. Because that is what our country needs and how it was founded.

Sonoma County used to be part of the North Bay chapter of the Democratic Socilists of America which disbanded some years ago. Shortly after the 2024 Presidential election a small group of us decided that we needed to start a chapter that was streamlined and dedicated to the unique needs of our County.

We believe that no matter where we come from or what our color, most of us want the same things. We want to earn enough to thrive, not just survive, and leave a better future for our kids. We want healthy food and clean water, safe neighborhoods and a safe world. We want to be free.

But the richest people on Earth — and the political insiders who serve them — have rigged the rules of our economy and our democracy to grab up wealth and power for themselves. They have defunded our schools, undermined community services, and stripped working people of the right to organize into unions. And then they blame poor people or people of different races or different places — aiming to divide us and distract us from what we have in common.

The Working Families Party is regular people coming together across our differences to make a better future for us all. We’re a multiracial party that fights for workers over bosses and people over the powerful. We want an America which realizes the promise – unrealized in our history – of freedom and equality for all.
